Graffiti artists have so much talent it is ridiculous. They are pretty funny, those writers. It seems that if it is not Graffiti art they are over it. Not all are like this, but some are. I think they dont realize they have the same closed mindedness that other artists have towards graffiti and its artness.

Whatever. Go to the show in Haleiwa tonight and check it out. you wont be dissapointed. Im not, and Im the Gallerys biggest critic.Nick Welleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01469517628121771958noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2038685478973872461.post-3173922851312298442010-04-18T13:25:00.000-07:002010-04-18T13:32:02.592-07:00Welzie Video for Two CrowsNick Welleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01469517628121771958noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2038685478973872461.post-68760427296919404512010-04-18T13:18:00.000-07:002010-04-18T13:20:52.865-07:00Its been a while
So I kinda forgot about this blog, figuring I got about three other ones, but I thought I would just throw the Book out there on this one. Coffee and Bong Hits by Nicholas m. I realised it was going to be a painful day, molding Chicken Coup wire is not easy on gloveless hands. It looks like I am a heroin junkie with veins only left in my hands. The llama was built in a long day, but that is only the first step. She will be coverd in scrap fiberglass and resin from the surf factory I work in. The best waves, perfect wether and a 90' boat is hard to leave. I have gotten the best waves of my life over the last month, traveling from atoll to atoll, reef to reef.

I enjoy life on the boat, washing cloths in a buckett and the constant swaying of the sea. Boat life really puts you in the moment. Not much off the boat really matters, except for the waves of cource. There is no traffic, no bills (only when you get back to find your accounts closed) no obligations, no favors. Life is just a bit simpler at sea.

Being a guide is great, but contrary to what people belive, it is work. Having 10 guest, each with a different personality and idea of what the trip is supposed to be like. 8 crew members who like dive charters more than surfers. Last but not least, yourself. Keeping an even keel and being one step ahead takes a bit of practice. But all in all, it is the best job I have ever had.

So if you want the best surf trip of your life* go on a boat trip. Book a boat that is nice, because there is a lot of dodgy boats out there, and get into it. Leave your work behind, don't spend every hour on the phone back home, and just relax. Let the surf guide make the calls, because hey, they know what there doing and want to surf more than you do.

Check out more pictures of the maldives at Liquiddestination.com
Nick Welleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01469517628121771958noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2038685478973872461.post-53694588444101723072008-08-18T00:15:00.000-07:002008-08-18T00:24:18.041-07:00How To Build A SURFBOARDHere is a video of Myself and Anthony Sherman Making a Log for the small summer surf on the Hawaii's North Shore. Charlie is the Man! That guy is by far the most generous person i have met here in Hawaii. A legendary waterman and board builder, Charlie Walker would never let you know. After working for him for over five years, I cant recall him ever talking about himself in a ego centric way.
